Services were held Oct. 5 at St Columbkille Catholic Church in Churdan for Delores Jean Adams, 86, of Churdan.
Father John Gerald officiated. Greg Carey was cantor with Lois Last as organist. Honorary casket bearers were her grandchildren Kevin Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Corey Squibb, Darby Squibb, Justin Squibb, Adam Squibb, Brandon Squibb, Tonya Rhiner and Robert Squibb.
Interment was at Highland Township Cemetery.
The family was assisted by Brown Funeral Home of Jefferson.
Delores J. Adams, the daughter of Edmond and Mary (Flanery) Bauer, was born October 28, 1931 near Dana, Iowa and depart this life September 30, 2018 at Regency Park Care Center in Jefferson, Iowa. She lived her life to the age of 86 years, 11 months and two days.
Delores attended school in Churdan. In December of 1948, Delores Bauer was united in marriage to Duane Squibb of Scranton. To this marriage were born five children. In June of 1970, Delores Squibb was united in marriage to Roland Adams. Roland passed away in 1976.
Delores spent her entire life in the Churdan area. She worked at the Flack Café in Churdan for a number of years and at Paton Produce. She later worked for 25 years at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll as a cook in the dietary department, where she retired in 1994.
Delores was a lifelong member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Churdan.
Left to mourn her passing was her daughters and sons: Virginia (Rex) Wilson of Paton, Darwin Squibb of Graham, TX, Linda (Tom) Carr of Savannah, IL, and Robert (Kelly) Squibb of Waukesha, WI;, nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Those who preceded her in death were her parents, husband Roland, son Eldon Squibb, brothers Robert, John and Donald, son-in-law Rene James and daughter-in-law Karen Squibb.
